Do you appraise books?
We can do appraisals on books. If it involves extensive research or many books such as a personal collection or library, a fee is charged for the service.
If I purchase a book from you, can I then order a second copy for a friend?
As we deal in scarce and out-of-print books, we usually have only one copy of a title on hand at a time. If we do not have an extra copy available, we can perform a book search and locate a copy for you.
What do the abbreviations in you book descriptions mean?

We recommend that you scroll through the abbreviations list and become
familiar
with its contents. It will make reading the book descriptions much easier
to understand.
Do you buy books?
Yes we do. We are always looking for interesting and unusual books in
the categories that we specialize in. Please check our book categories
list for more information. We are especially interested in books in the

Can I purchase a book on approval?
We stand by our book descriptions as reflecting the condition of the book. We do have a book return policy. However it is not good business practice to send our books without receiving payment up front, especially as these books are rare, and often irreplacable.
What is your policy on returning books and refunds?
All items are as described. Refunds are limited to original purchase price, shipping not included. Any item ordered from us may be returned within 10 days of receipt, if unsatisfactory for any for any reason. Please contact us prior to returning an item. Please note that books which we locate for you via a book search, are subject to a 25% restocking fee, to cover the cost of our searches as well as our cost in returning the book to the original dealer (if possible).
Can I find out more about a book before I buy it?
The description of the book is a good place to start. (If you're on our main search page then click on the More Details "here" link.) The space is limited, but we try to give you a good idea of the condition and the contents of the book. If there is something you are unsure about please contact us, by phone or email, and we will be happy to provide a satisfactory answer to your question.
Does the price of the book include shipping?
The book price does not include shipping, which is a separate charge. To figure shipping charges, just click on the "buy me" links. You will be able to figure out shipping before committing to the purchase.
Can you ship a book by air mail or ship it overseas?
We can ship by surface or air, to points in the U.S. or overseas. All
shipping charges are in addition to the purchase price of the book. In
the continental U.S. we usually ship books by media mail. Please be aware
that some purchases, due to their size or weight, will require additional
postage. Contact us for specific international shipping rates.
Do New York State residents have to pay a sales tax?
New York State residents are obliged to include their local sales tax with payment. That's the law, we have no control over it.
I have tried to locate a book for a long time, but have been unsuccessful so far. What can I do?
We are happy to perform book searches for you. Please call or email us and include author and title and any other pertinent information.
It's possible that the title you are looking is just very scarce and thus hard to locate. We can do an ongoing search. There is no charge for a book search.
It may take time, but may prove successful. A rare or scarce book can
be expensive, so keep that in mind as well. If we are successful in locating
your book, we will notify you of the book price and details regarding
its condition. You can then decide if you wish to purchase. Please let
us know the price range you are comfortable with, before an actual search
begins.
What kind of payments do you accept?
We accept Paypal (credit card) as well as checks and money orders. For Paypal, just choose that as a method and you will be transferred to Paypal's secure payment site. Paypal is a secure system that allows you to send payment to any email address you desire.

Can I order a book from you and can you mail it to someone at another address?
With M/O and check purchase we will be happy to ship to any address you desire. For security purposes Paypal requires that items be shipped to "confirmed" addresses. It's fairly easy to have an address confirmed via paypal. Contact their site at http://www.paypal.com for details.
